Dear Reader,
Sunday before Tuesday.
How are you feeling?
#20Tuesdays ends this week. It’s been a constant companion for me in the lead up to the election. I hope to see you today for our meet-up.
I’ve decided to turn the #20Tuesday space into a book club. You’ll notice a new tab at the top of the homepage. More information soon.
But for now, how about a little quiet?
“Keeping Quiet” by Pablo Neruda
“How to Be a Poet” by Wendell Berry
“A Ritual to Read to Each Other” by William Stafford
Edward Hopper, Early Sunday Morning, 1930
And Bob Dylan and Paul Simon singing The Sound of Silence
Much love,
Sam
Thank you, everyone! In our meeting yesterday, I shared that I was a little nervous to start Sunday Notes and begin posting about things I love and think about and work on beyond Hannah Arendt, and I really appreciate that the poem selections resonate. I needed the Neruda this week. Just that act of pausing.
how many times have we followed the wrong god home!
