Walter Benjamin at the Seder Table
April 6th at 7pm
Dear Reader,
Tomorrow night the Brooklyn Institute is hosting a special event at a new Jewish community center, The Neighborhood, in Brooklyn, New York.
Join us as we explore the centrality of storytelling within the seder experience, drawing on both traditional and more contemporary voices: from the text of the Haggadah and classic rabbinic commentaries to philosophical reflections by Walter Benjamin. After a brief introductory lecture, participants will work through source sheets chavruta style (in pairs), before reconvening for a collective discussion.
Hosted by the ever brilliant Suzanne Schneider.
Drinks, snacks, and seltzer will be served.
Hope to see you there!
Sam
