The handout is a breakdown of the book section by section. I’ve also included some questions for conversation.

Reading Schedule (~20 pages a day):

• Week 1, Sunday June 15th: Pages 1-155

  • Showtrial, who was Eichmann?, what kind of criminal was Eichmann? What did Eichmann know?, Judenrat testimony, the difference between obeying orders and obeying the law

• Week 2, Sunday June 22nd: Pages 156-end

  • Testimony of witnesses, Eichmann in exile, Eichmann’s capture, the charges brought against Eichmann, crimes against humanity, Arendt’s final judgment
